During the telophase of the cell cycle, karyokinesis (splitting of the nucleoplasm and formation of two distinct nuclei) and cytokinesis occur (formation of two cells by the division of the cytoplasm) takes place.
The nuclear envelope reappears around each set of chromosomes during the telophase of the cell cycle.
