Question

What happens to the passengers in a moving bus when bus takes right turn?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Initially, the passengers and the bus both are moving in the same direction.
  2. When the bus suddenly takes a right turn, the lower portion of passengers who are in contact with the bus tends to move in that direction but the upper portion of the passengers will be thrown towards the left.
  3. This is because of inertia of direction.
