What happens to water vapour when they reach high in the atmosphere?

When we go higher up the atmosphere, the temperature decreases.As a result , water vapour changes into water on cooling. That is high in the atmosphere the temp is low as conpared to ground, when the concentration of water vapour is high , it converts into water and falls down as rain.
