Solution

(a) If the cooking medium is made to flow down a drain. it sticks to the walls of the drain and with time, it forms chunky masses. It may block the pipes.

(b) If insecticides, motor oil, or paints are poured down the drain, this may kill the useful microbes which help to purify water.

(c) If tea leaves, cotton swabs, and soft old toys are thrown into the drain, it can choke the drains and block the water supply of the area.
