What happens when a matured wheat crop is irrigated?
Open in App
Solution
Irrigation :
The process of providing water to crop plants in the fields is known as irrigation.
If an excess of irrigation is supplied, it causes crop lodging.
Wheat crop plants are tall, thin, and very delicate, so the excess irrigation causes bending over of the stem which becomes very difficult to harvest.
