a) Since calcium hydroxide is a base, so when the phenolphthalein was added to the solution, it turned the solution pink.

b) No color change will take place as sodium chloride is a neutral salt.

c) No color change will take place as distilled water is neutral by nature.

d) Turmeric powder is yellow in color and it turns reedish when treated with a basic solution. Hence here the turmeric will turn reddish as sodium hydroxide is a base.
