What happens when a real image is formed in front of a concave mirror if no screen is placed to capture it ? Is that image still visible? Also , what is a screen ?

Images are perception of any light reflected from a source. So ,in short, No , you can’t see an image without a screen. Screen here acts as a source from which the light creating the image reflect and our eyes and brain perceive it.

Projection screen, surface on which the image from an optical projector is shown.The three most common types of screen are the mat white, the glass bead, and the lenticular.
