The entry of sperm nucleus into the egg cytoplasm will result in the fertilization of the egg, as the nucleus of the egg fuses with the nucleus of the sperm. The resulting cell is then called the zygote. The zygote will start the mitotic division and will divide into two cells. Each one them is called a blastomere. As the zygote moves from the fallopian tube to the uterus, it continues dividing, forming morula and then blastocyst. So, the zygote has now formed the embryo. At the blastocyst stage, the arrival at uterus occurs. The blastocyst attaches itself to the uterine wall and this is called implantation. Implantation confirms the pregnancy.
