Question

What happens when frequency is increased and the amplitude is kept the same? Will sound be louder or will it be more clear to us? And wjat happens when frequency is kept same and amplitude is increased?

Solution

Dear student

If the amplitude of a wave is a higher value, that means the sound will be loud. If on the other hand, the amplitude is a smaller number, the sound wave will be quiet. Similarly, if the frequency of a wave is a higher value, then the pitch of the sound wave will be high and if the frequency is a lower number, the pitch of the wave will be less.
As per the question you asked, when the frequency is increased and the amplitude will remain the same, the sound will be sharp and high pitch. If however, the amplitude will increase keeping the frequency same, the sound will be loud but soft only.
