What happens when silver metal is added to copper sulphate solution ? Give suitable balanced chemical reactions.

Dear student,

Silver is less reactive than copper and is placed below copper in the reactivity series. Hence, when silver metal is added to CuSO4 solution, it does not displace copper from the salt and so no reaction takes place.
