Dear Student,

When you add Sodium carbonate to dilute solution of Sodium hydroxide their respective ions will separate out in the solution. It will just form an alkaline solution of sodium carbonate.

Na2CO3 2 Na+(aq) + CO32-(aq)NaOH Na+(aq) + OH-(aq)
