Dear student

When Sodium chloride and calcium chloride are left exposed to air, they tend to absorb moisture from air and convert into liquid.
When Copper sulfate anhydrous, is exposed to air, it becomes hydrated by absorbing the water of hydration.
When cobalt chloride is exposed to air, it becomes hydrated. It absorbs water molecules from the atmosphere.
The anhydrous salt is blue in colour and the hydrated form is purple in colour.
