Solution

The correct option is C 802.4

802.4 IEEE specification is used by CSMA/CD.

In IEEE 802.4, the token passing scheme is used in place of Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection (CSMA/CD) on a bus local area network (LAN). A token is circulated on a network. The computer that has possession of the token has the right to transmit packets for a certain period of time.

The IEEE 802.4 standard specifies the Token-bus media access control method. It is one of two token passing access methods. IEEE 802.4 is based on a physical bus or tree topology. The Token-bus approach requires a station to have possession of a token in order to transmit.

Carrier-sense multiple access with collision detection (CSMA/CD) is a media access control method used most notably in early Ethernet technology for local area networking.

Token Ring local area network (LAN) technology is a communications protocol for local area networks. It uses a special three-byte frame called a "token" that travels around a logical "ring" of workstations or servers.
