Confidential international information

Information that could adversely affect the integrity and the sovereignty of the nation, as well as information that could potentially be of strategic importance and scientific interest to other nations is not under the jurisdiction of the RTI Act. Information that is not meant to be disclosed, as mandated by the Parliament or State Legislature, also does not fall under the RTI Act. If the government has received information from a foreign government, in confidence, then that information is not accessible to the RTI Act. Information that may put someone’s life in danger is also off limits.
