  1. Balanced chemical equations involve an equal number of atoms on both sides of the equation. It gives the least number of reactants required to form the products.
  2. For example- The following equation shows the formation of a water molecule (H2O) from hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2). It is a balanced equation and it contains 4 atoms of hydrogen and two atoms of oxygen on both sides.
