What is a bicameral legislature?

Open in App
Solution

The bicameral legislature is one where the legislature consists of two houses, Chambers, factions for representation. E.g., the Congress of the United States which consists of a House of Representatives, and a Senate and Indian Parliament which consists of the House of People and Council of States. The Bicameral legislature ensures the proper representation of the states (another part of the government) in the legislature and the laws are passed with sufficient opportunities for legislators to deliberate.
