  1. The polymers made up of alternating different polymer units are called block polymers.
  2. During the polymerization of one monomer followed by the chain extension with different monomers, the unit forms a block polymer.
  3. Block polymer can be of diblock in which two blocks are connected in a manner - A-B-A-B.
  4. Block polymer can be triblock in which three differed units are connected in a manner -A-B-C-A-B-C.
  5. An example of the block polymer is SBS rubber (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) which is used in making tyres for vehicles.
