What is a bundle of neurons or axons known as?
Nerve
A nerve is an enclosed bundle of axons in the peripheral nervous system which carries information to and from the central nervous system. Whereas an axon, or nerve fibre, is a long slender projection of a nerve cell, or neuron, that conducts electrical impulses away from the neuron's cell body or soma.
The nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord, sensory organs, and all of the nerves that connect these organs with the rest of the body. Together, these organs are responsible for the control of the body and communication among its parts.
