  5. Chromatids have thread like coiled structures which are known as chromonemata.

Chromonemata:

  1. Chromonema is the other name of chromonemata.
  2. Chromonemata are gene carriers and help in maintaining chromosome structure.
  3. Chromonemata have bead or not like structures called chromomere.
