Solution

Dear Student

In the situation where no single party gets the maximum number of votes so required to form a government, it usually results into political parties forming alliances. The government so formed as a result of these pacts and treaties is termed as a Coalition government.
Coalition government requires different political parties to cooperate with each other. This leads to a culture of power sharing among the parties.
