What is a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986?
Complaint means any allegation in writing in regard to one or more of the following:
(i) Complainant has suffered loss or damage as a result of any unfair trade practice or restrictive trade practice adopted by any trader.
(ii) Goods bought by him suffer from one or more defects.
(iii) Services hired or availed of suffer from any deficiency in that respect.
(iv) Trader has charged a price in excess of the price fixed by law or displayed on the goods or package.
(v) Goods are hazardous to life and property.
