The formation of clouds, fog, or haze requires the assistance of condensation nuclei. Condensation nuclei are tiny atmospheric particles approximately 1/100th the size of a cloud droplet.They provide the non-gaseous surface necessary for water vapor to condense into cloud droplets.

Cohesion is the property of like molecules (of the same substance) to stick to each other due to mutual attraction.
Adhesion is the property of different molecules or surfaces to cling to each other.
