Solution

Freely falling body:

A body falling towards the center of the earth under the influence of a single force only, which is the gravitational pull of the earth, is said to be a freely falling body.

Equations of motion for a freely falling body are-

v=u+gth=ut+12gt2v2-u2=2gh

Where, v,u,g,h,and t are final velocity, initial velocity, acceleration due to gravity, height above the surface of the earth, and time taken respectively.
