  2. The animals and plants adapt themselves according to the environment and habitat.
  3. The habitat comprises both the living and nonliving components.
  4. The living components are known as biotic components. Eg : plants, animals, and microorganisms.
  5. The non-living components are called abiotic components. Eg: Water, air, atmosphere.
  6. Biotic components depend on the abiotic components and other organisms for their survival.

Benefits of habitat for the living organisms.

  1. Habitat provides food, water, air, light for living organisms.
  2. It also provides shelter for protection and a place for breeding.
  3. It provides all the necessary conditions which are required by an organism to survive.
