Solution
Joints are the area where two bones are attached to permit the body parts to move and are usually formed by fibrous and cartilaginous connective tissue.
On the basis of their type of motion they allow:
- A joint that permits all forms of angular movement except axial rotation. E.g, Ball and socket joint.
- A joint which is movable only in one axis. E.g, Hinge joint.
- A joint which allows rotation at one axis. E.g, Pivot joint.
- A joint in which rotation is limited because of bone marrow. E.g, Saddle joint.
