Solution

Object distance, image distance, focal length, and spherical lens.

  1. Object distance- It is the distance between object and mirror.
  2. Image distance- It is the distance between image and mirror.
  3. Focal length- It is the distance between the optic center and focus.
  4. Spherical mirror- A spherical mirror is one that is cut out of a spherical surface and has the shape of a piece of that surface.

There are two types of spherical mirrors:

  1. Concave mirror
  2. Convex mirror

Relationship between the object distance, image distance, and the focal length of a Spherical mirror.

1F=1v+1u

Where,

v is the distance of the image from the mirror.

u is the distance of the object from the mirror.

f is the focal length of the mirror.
