Natural resources can be defined as the resources that are found in the environment of the earth and are developed independently of human dealings. Some common examples of natural resources are air, sunlight, water, soil, plants, animals, fossil fuels etc.

• Different types of natural resources:

Natural resources can be classified into two classes:

1. Renewable resources- these natural resources undergo self-renewal. For example, plants and animals can undergo reproduction to increase their number and it also helps to maintain their existence in the Earth.
2. Non-Renewable resources- These natural resources are limited. Continuous usages of these resources can reduce their amounts that are now present on Earth. The example includes minerals, fossil fuel etc.
