Seeds buds in potato:

  1. The tuber of a potato is a swollen part of an underground stem or modified stem.
  2. Upon maturation number of seed buds together come up on the surface of the tuber.
  3. The seed buds in potatoes are known as the eyes of the potato (Vegetative propagule).
  4. The eyes of potatoes are green in color and can produce new potato plants.
  5. From each bud, a new potato plant is produced.
