Radula :
Radula is a horny ribbon-like rasping organ present in the buccal cavity of many molluscs.
Radula bears minute chitinous teeth which help to scrape off or tear the food coming into the mouth.
This rasping organ is used to cut down the food before it enters the stomach of molluscs.
Functions of radula:
Radula is used for feeding.
Radula helps in grinding of food before ingestion.
Radula scraps and scratches the food before it reaches the oesophagus.
