A rainbow is a visible arch of colours in the sky caused by the refraction and dispersion of the sun's light in the atmosphere by rain or other water droplets.
The rainbow's colours are generally thought to be red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
When a light beam enters the prism, it is refracted and divided into its seven constituent colours.
The different angles of bending for each other cause the splitting of light rays.
As a result, each colour that passes through the prism bends at different angles with respect to the incident beam, resulting in the formation of the colour spectrum.
