Real Image:

  1. A real image is one that can be formed on a screen. For example, a cinema screen, an image created on the retina of the eyeball, and so on.
  2. It is formed when light rays after reflection and refraction meet at some point.
  3. It is formed due to the actual intersection of the light ray.
  4. The real image occurs where light rays actually converge.
  5. A real image is one that is created on the same side of the lens or mirror as the viewer.
  6. It is always inverted.

  1. A cinema screen
  2. An image is created on the retina of the eyeball.

Diagram:

  1. In the diagram, it is clear that the image formed is always inverted.
