What is a Resistor? What is a Resistance?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
Resistance:

It is the property of a conductor due to which it opposes the flow of current through it.

Numerically,

Resistance(R)=Potential difference(V)/Current (I)

SI unit=ohm

Resistor: A resistor is a component of an electric circuit that resists the flow of electric current. I will still has two terminals across which electricity must pass, and is designed to drop the voltage of the current as it flows from one terminal to the next. Register is primarily used to create and maintain unknown safe current within an electrical component.
