Solution
In physics, a shock wave, or shock, is a type of propagating disturbance. When a wave moves faster than the local speed of sound in a fluid, it is a shock wave.
Sound wave is basically disturbance created propagating in the medium. When it propagates we can hear the sound. Where is a shock wave, is also disturbance but speeds greater than that of the sound creating a break down like effect.
