Lymphocytes:
- Lymphocytes are types of white blood cells and are considered the chief cells for the body's immunity.
- Helper cells, sometimes referred to as T4 lymphocytes are a subset of lymphocytes.
Functions of T4 lymphocytes:
- These cells coordinate the immune response and boost the activity of killer T-cells (cells that eradicate pathogens) and B-cells (antibody and immunoglobulin producers).
- T-lymphocytes are a type of lymphocyte made in the bone marrow.
- T4-lymphocytes (also known as T4-Helper Cells or CD4+ Cells) are primarily responsible for controlling the body's immunological responses.
