  • The climbers are weak plants that cannot stand upright without external support.
  • The two types of tendrils are stem tendrils and leaf tendrils.
  • When the tendril comes in contact with the side of any object as support it grows drastically causing the tendrils to bend and wind around the object.
  • This directional movement is called thigmotropism.
