Types of tendrils:

There are two types of tendrils such as stem tendrils, and leaf tendrils.

1. Stem tendril:

  • Stem tendrils are modified branches or sections of the stem in some stemmed plants.
  • Stem tendrils are found in bitter gourd, bottle gourd, and grapevine.

2. Leaf tendrils:

  • Leaf tendrils are found in plants such as peas and glory lilies.
  • They help the plants ascend by looping around neighboring supports.
