Open in App
Solution

A vacuole is a membrane-bound organelle which is present in all plant and fungal cells and some protists, animal and bacterial cells. They are much larger in plant cells.
Some vacuoles can store food or any variety of nutrients a cell might need to survive. They can even store waste products so that the rest of the cell is protected from contamination.
