Solution
Zygospore:
The spores produced by fungus and protists are known as zygospores.
These spores are robust and resistant in nature.
The spores are formed by the fusion of two haploid nuclei and result in gametangia.
The gametangia produce a zygote and later the zygote forms the zygospore.
The zygospore germinates under favorable conditions and gives rise to the new fungal filament.
