Solution

Acceleration:the rate of change of velocity per unit of time.
si unit is: m/s^2(meter per second square)
Acceleration is taken as positive if the change in velocity is positive A body has auniform accelaration if its velocity changes at a uniform rate.

example:
1)The motion of a freely falling body and a vertically thrown up body are the example of uniform accelaration.
2) The motion of a ball rolling down an inclined plane is another example of uniform accelaration.

Acceleration is taken as negative if the change in velocity negative
