Question

What is agar agar used in salt bridge

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Agar-agar is a non-electrolyte so it cannot dissociate into ions, this is the reason for being used in the salt bridge because due to this it can prevent the intermixing of fluids which might occur if agar-agar is not used. So there are no ions that can migrate due to its non-electrolytic nature.
