Dear Student,

Alumina is formed by the chemical reaction of Aluminium and oxygen.its chemical composition is Al 2O 3.It is also called as Aluminium oxide. It is white in colour,odourless and in crystal form. it is insoluble in water.

Two common uses of Aluminium:
1: It is used for making Electrical wires.
2: It is used for making utensils.

The leading producer of Bauxite in India is Orissa.
Other Bauxite producing states are Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka etc.
