Open in App
Solution

  • After copulation, sperms travel through the cervix and finally reach the ampullary- isthmic junction of fallopian tube.
  • Ovum after its release from ovary also travel to this place.
  • If both ovum and sperms reach in the ampullary- isthmic junction at the same time, there is a strong chance of occurring fertilisation.
  • So this junction may be considered as a site of fertilisation in human females.

1. The process of reproduction results in the production of offsprings which are exactly similar to the parents.
2. DNA copying is accompanied by cell division that gives rise to two cells.
3. The exact blue print of body design is inherited in the offspring due to DNA replication in parent cell. Therefore, DNA copying is an essential part of the process of reproduction.
