Anaphylactic shock:

  1. Anaphylactic shock is a serious life - threatening allergic reaction.
  2. Anaphylactic reactions usually happen very fast and need immediate attention.
  3. The airways like trachea and bronchi narrow down, the throat swells, which can lead to stoppage of breathing.
  4. In some people the blood vessels widen, making their blood pressure fall to dangerously low levels.
  5. The symptoms can get severe within a few minutes to an hour of exposure to the allergen.
