  2. The electric cell converts chemical energy into electrical energy.
  3. Primary cells are non-chargeable cells, if it gets discharged once they cannot be charged again.

Examples- Voltaic cell and Leclanche cell.

  1. Secondary cells are chargeable cells, if it gets discharged they can be charged again.

Examples- Car batteries
