Solution

Introns:

  1. A nucleotide sequence in a gene that is removed by RNA splicing of the final product is known as an intron.
  2. Introns are a non-coding part of nucleotide and are not highly conserved.
  3. Thus, it is essential to remove the introns so that the formation of incorrect proteins stops.

Importance of introns :

  1. Introns act as hot spots in the recombination in the formation of new combinations of exons.
  2. Introns increase the possibility to create new genes which can result in evolution.
