Question

What is an Ohmic resistor?

Open in App
Solution

Ohmic Resistors: The conductors which obey ohm's law are called the ohmic resistors or linear resistances. For such resistors, a graph plotted for the potential difference V against current I is a straight line.
Also, Ohm’s Law states that the potential difference between two points is directly proportional to the electric current provided the physical conditions and the temperature of the conductor remains the constant.
