Examples of neutralization reaction are as follows:
(i) Anti-acids are medicines containing bases such as aluminium hydroxide, and magnesium hydroxide, they neutralise the excess acid in the stomach.
(ii) Lime fertilizers such as powdered lime, limestone, or ashes of burnt wood are added to the soil to neutralise its acidity.
(iii) Shampoos are mild alkalis which cause small scales on each hair which makes the hair unmanageable. To solve this problem we use hair conditioner. Hair conditioners are mild acid.
