What is artifical system of classification? List the difficulties in adapting the system.

The word "artificial" is something which is not natural, this man-made classification is the most ancient system.This classification was based on external morphological ( visible external characters)characters.

The basic difficulties faced while adapting the system was that both vegetativen(somatic) and sexualb(reproductive) characteristics had to be given equal weightage, along with that it provided limited information,

also it was difficult for identifying a particular species or genera.
