Solution

Adenosine triphosphate or ATP is a nucleoside triphosphate consists of an adenosine moiety to which three phosphoryl groups are sequentially linked via a phosphodiester bond followed by two phosphoanhydride bonds or high energy bond. ATP is the chemical link between anabolism and catabolism, it is the energy currency of the living cells because it act as a donor of high energy phosphate. ATP is abundantly found in organelle called mitochondria because of which mitochondria known as "energy house" of the cell.
