Bicarpellary ovary:

  1. The gynoecium is the female reproductive part of the flower.
  2. It consists of a pistil, which consists of stigma, style, and ovary.
  3. Gynoecium may have one or more than one pistil.
  4. When the gynoecium contains two pistils it is known as bicarpellary ovary.
  5. If more than one pistils are present and are fused together, it is known as syncarpous and if are present as free then it is known as apocarpous.

Examples: Sunflower, Datura stramonium, Solanum nigrum.
